- Navigation, Usage of basic utilities and tools
- Ability to install Operating system and Software

- Customize Windows functionality
- Perform basic troubleshooting
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite
Basic knowledge on PC
- Identify Components and their functionality
- Add/Remove/Configure Hardware components
- Perform basic part level troubleshooting
- Awareness of the latest technologies / trends
Networking
- Awareness of Networking concepts and devices
- Knowledge of TCP/IP
- Configuring TCP/IP on PCs
- Troubleshooting basic networking issues
- Configuring Internet Explorer and Outlook Express
Skill – Desirable a) Demonstrates a professional, friendly
manner that establishes, maintains, and improves the relationship
with the customer.
b) Respond positively to customer requests and see requests
through to completion.
c) Effectively use support processes and proactively involve
resources from support partners as required.
d) Use tools and troubleshooting processes effectively to clarify
and analyze the customer problem resulting in first contact
resolution.
e) Analyze and develop workarounds to difficult problems across
areas of expertise.
f) Provides timely response to customer inquiries other than by
telephone. This includes effective communication of technical
solutions via email, web chat, or other written forms.
g) Recognize need and proactively provide information on HP
products and/or service solutions with every customer as appropriate.
h) Perform research and testing as needed to resolve customer
issues.
i) Input accurate customer information and problem resolution
data in all required systems (call logging, activity/wrap codes, etc)

Role Description (Nature of Activities the candidate is going to
do ) Front line technical support (Voice based) for Desktops /
Laptops / Printers
Software and hardware troubleshooting for supported products and
drivers for customers and ASPs. Entitlement. Support Solutions.
Offsite service setup, onsite service creation. Basic network
troubleshooting (only determine if the issue is network related or
not)
Experience in Years Freshers / Laterals (6 months to 2 years)
