The Business Analyst should be an exceptionally bright individual from an IIT/IIM or comparable background with at least 3 years experience at a top strategy consulting firm. The Business Analyst would be an internal change agent, detailing and helping implement the strategy and operational plans envisioned by the COO of Kanbay India. Some experience working in a software consulting firm would be desirable although not essential.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
Provide Support to the CEO
• Carry out a SWOT analysis of the company.
• Review the market situation and discern major trends that will impact the company
• Analyzes the competitors' strategy
• Recommend strategy that the company should adopt to achieve its business goals
• Align the structure of the company and delivery team organization with the business strategy
• Suggest improvements to the systems for managing multi-site delivery
• Devise and implement performance measurement systems that are aligned with business goals
• Review the current designations and recommend a role-based hierarchy
• Execute specific assignments identified by COO from time to time, aimed at improving the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the delivery organization
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE :
• Engineer-MBA from IIT/IIM or equivalent .
• At least 3 years in a top-notch strategy consulting organization or a big-5 consulting firm .
• Experience of working with the senior management of organizations (software industry experience desirable, though not essential)
• Exceptional analytical and communication abilities .
• Computer proficient
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Strong writing skills and formal presentation skills.
• Proficiency in all MS-Office software tools .
• Knowledge of Indian and Global software industry would be a definite plus.
• Good people skills .
• Ability to work with minimum supervision, and implement solutions effectively.
2. FINANCIAL ANALYST
The Financial Analyst should be an exceptionally bright individual with an Engineering/ MBA combination from top school or a Chartered Accountant with at least 4 years experience at a top strategy consulting firm.
The job very broadly is FP&A (financial planning and analysis)::
• Drive decision support systems in the organization .
• Ensure accuracy of business profit forecast & financial costings
• Implement strategic plans within finance in order to meet customer needs through flexibility/reliability
• Cash Flow & Working Capital Management
ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Excellent Excel skills – very familiar with Pivot tables, macros, functions etc.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Good understanding of Access database
• Basic understanding of Oracle
• Self driven, team player
• Good communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure

• Have an eye for details while keeping the big picture outlook
3 . IBM Mainframe skills with SAS & Cobol
• Strong SAS skills with V+ experienced resource" or"a strong SAS and COBOL experienced resource".
• To start the resource in offshore assignment to work with Client. The primary objective is to get the user requirements, involve in estimation and provide technical assistance to the offshore team. This can be rotating him into offshore after completing 3 to 4 months to leverage his skills.
• Technically strong hands on person required as this person will be responsible to grow this account. Minimum of 2.5+yrs experience in IBM Mainframe projects ideally with Financial applications.
4. IT SUPPORT STAFF
• The candidate should have thorough knowledge of all types of Voice Switches, Legacy and IP Technology EPABX'es, VOIP Setup - Preferably should have worked on big voice switches ( + 500 extensions ) of Nortel, Lucent , Siemens or Alcatel. Hands on expertise and a good conceptual knowledge.
• The ideal candidate would need to have 7-8 years of experience.
• He would be responsible for management of the overseas offices Alcatel switches, would be involved in the
upgrades and purchases.
• He would also be responsible for all VOIP facilities and will have to coordinate within Virtual Voice members of the team and get the work done from different vendors in any geographical locations.

5. VISION PLUS
• Candidates should have more than one year of experience in VISION PLUS / CARDPAC - CREDIT CARD SYSTEMS along with COBOL, CICS, JCL, VSAM with experience on very good projects
• Business focus in the Financial Services industry which includes Credit Cards, Insurance, Consumer Lending.
• Good Communication Skills with very good team capabilities.

6. WEB DEVELOPERS AND SENIOR DEVELOPERS
UNIX / PERL / SYBASE developers: -
• Candidate must be an expert in Unix, Perl and Sybase. He should have experience in writing reports using Perl and should posses experience of HTML and CGI Scripting.
• A minimum experience of 3yrs in the above mentioned technologies with good projects is a must
• Business focus in Financial Services industry which includes Credit Cards, Insurance, Securities and Finance
• Excellent Communication Skills and good team abilities is a must.
CRYSTAL REPORTS WITH SYBASE DB: -
• Candidate should have worked on Crystal Reports (Ver. 8.0) with Sybase DB (preferably Ver. 11.9 +). He should have knowledge of writing Stored Procedures & Performance Tuning, Microsoft SQL Server, MS Access. Knowledge of writing server-side processes using VB ( 6.0) would be good to have.
• A minimum experience of 3yrs in the above mentioned technologies with good projects is a must.
• Business focus in Financial Services industry which includes Credit Cards, Insurance, Securities and Finance
• Excellent Communication Skills and good team abilities is a must.
JAVA / SYBASE / UNIX: -
• Candidate should have worked on Core Java, JSP, XML, UML, SOAP, UNIX, Sybase (Strong SQL skills) . He should be able to capture requirements from interactions with business users, analyse the business workflow process and design the overall system including the user interface.
• A minimum experience of 4yrs in the above mentioned technologies with good projects is a must.
• Business focus in Financial Services industry which includes Credit Cards, Insurance, Securities and Finance.
• Excellent Communication Skills and good team abilities is a must.
7. Quality Assurance
CORE SKILLS SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE: - Unix and Perl Scripting
- Web based Functional and Performance Testing
- Load Runner, WinRunner and TestDirector
- Quality Assurance Testing Experience and Testing Methodolgies
- Sound understanding of Web Development, Architecture, Server and Database Technologies
TECHNICAL ENVIRONMENT: Web Development, Unix
Experience: • 3-5 yrs.
• SCOPE OF WORK To test web applications and portals for functionality, performance, usability etc. Write test cases, plans and also write scripts in Unix and Perl to automate tests alongwith usage of Automated tools like LoadRunner, WinRunner, TestDirector.
JOB DESCRIPTION: The QA Tester will perform manual and automated testing (whenever appropriate) for various MS web applications and intranet/internet sites and will be responsible for testing software base on plans and cases designed by the Test Lead, test scripts and matrix. and for the regression, integration and automated testing. The work also involves a lot of numerical and statistical analysis of performance data and presenting the same to client.
OTHER SKILLS Strong Analytical and Reasoning Skills preferably with Graduation in Statistics / Maths
8. IBM Mainframe Analyst

9. Power builder /Sybase Developers

Strong candidates with Power builder 6.5 and PFC Skills.
Database exposure on Sybase preferred.
Experience of 1.5 to 3 years in mentioned technology with good projects.
Good Communication Skills with very good team capabilities 10. Technical Leads / Technical Managers / Technical Architects
• Core Java / JSP / EJB / J2EE / SERVLETS / APPLETS / SWING / XML.
• Good knowledge of UML / RATIONAL ROSE / DESIGN PATTERNS / FRAMEWORKS
• Exposure to UNIX AND DATABASE along with these technologies is desirable but not essential. Experience:
• Over 6+ years of professional software development experience
• Proven experience in Web site integration with backend systems and databases
• Strong Consulting experience
11. Delivery Managers Technical
Expertise: IBM Mainframe & Internet Technologies, CMM, SDLC knowledge
Experience: • 8 years + of relevant IT experience (preferably in Financial Services – Banking / Credit Card Industry)
• Ability to lead mid-large size teams.
• Strong consulting experience and international background
• Should have working experience as Project Manager for last three years in the above technologies.
12. Quality Leads
Quality & Process oriented for Cilent-server projects -PB, VB and ASP, COM etc
Quality & Process oriented for Java related projects.
Experience: • 4 years + of relevant IT experience
• A thorough understanding of quality assurance and industry standards including ISO/CMM.
