We have appointed to shortlist Candidate's profiles by Our SEI CMM Client in Chennai on the following skill sets.
1) Position: Software Engineer - SIP
Technical Capabilities :
Should have,
Good knowledge in operating systems such as Windows or Unix (UnixWare / Sun Solaris) or Linux
Hands on C++ (preferably in Open Source apps) and or C# experience on Windows platform
Good knowledge in MS Office automation tools such as Word, Excel & PPT
Good knowledge in Database such as Oracle or SQL or DB2
Experience in one of the following,
Good Knowledge of Audio Video Codecs programming.
Good knowledge of SIP protocol and IP telephony in general (SIP-Session Initiation Protocol)
Desirable to have,
Experience with Skype/Google APIs
Experience with developing IM,voice clients
Required Exposure/ Experience,
1. 2-4 yrs of exposure in IT industry as a software developer.
2. Should have been involved in SDLC of at least 3 projects.
3. Customer facing experience is desirable but not must.
Certifications (if any) : MS/Sun/Avaya certification will be a plus
Behavioral Capabilities :
Very Good Analytical & problem solving skills
Able to understand & adapt to new technologies
Good communication (written & verbal)
Very good team player
Brief Job Summary / Role :
Design, develop, test, implement and support applications based on the customer requirements adhering to the delivery standards of the organization.
Responsibilities :
Preparation of design document for the given statement of work or modules
Preparation of Unit & Integration test cases
Development of application / modules based on the design document
Perform Unit & Integration testing
Coordinate System testing with quality team
Implement developed application at onsite
Coordinate with customer user teams for Knowledge Transfer & user acceptance testing
Support customers with implemented products during production cut over and perform necessary production tuning
Preparation of project handover documents and provide knowledge transfer during support handover to the respective team
Review work products of other projects on a need basis
Deliverables / KRA's in this Role :
Develop bug free applications within the efforts allocated
Follow all the organizational processes
Work towards weekly and bi-weekly deadlines on the development of high-visibility, high-quality web products
Challenges in the Job :(Difficulties in the job)
Complete development in challenging schedules
Implementation challenges (new technologies/complex integration)
Co-ordination with other vendors to complete the job
Short project duration (4 to 6 months)
Academic Qualification : B.E / B.Tech - Comp. Sc. / IT / Electronics & Commn. or MCA or B.Sc-CS /BCA
Exp: Min 2-4 yrs
